Honestly.

I was thinking of a catchy phrase about February to work into a title and I couldn’t come up with anything.

Valentine’s Day, Cupid, Love is in the Air, all these things are naturally involved with February but, none of them register with me. Alas, the single life.

Fret not, for I have had quite a productive January.

Writer01

“Chapter Five”, has officially become my “pen-name adjacent” website, personal journal, and mental health blog with a side of quotes from influential persons of interest.

Until I start making money from writing, this will serve as my pen-name blog. Other writers and bloggers have their name as their online domain for all their projects and work. For clarity’s sake, I would begin a paid version of a website through WordPress and call it, “ThomasEarl”. It would be an entirely new site and I would keep, “Chapter Five”. For a total of nine different projects I think… *lol* (I’ve seriously lost count and have even more in the works…)

Monthly update posts, like this one, would show up there as well as anything else pertaining to projects or work with my pen name applied to it. Pretty simple.

It took me almost one full year to get all this sorted out and in shape but, figuring out how to go about blogging and writing was half the fun, to be honest.

@ntisocial10

@nti-social“, is still doing well. I’ve rebounded from potentially drying up the well and have found some new directions to go for creating new content for the project. I’m really excited about the social media goals I’ve set for myself and this means good things for, “@nti-social” overall.

Happy03

I finally returned to make a new, “Be Happy” post. The holiday season really pushed some projects right out of the moving train without a care at all.

In furthering my attempt to rediscover my happiness, my friends and I have been participating in a trivia night event at a local home brewery style pub. We are having so much fun with the event we decided to pick the pub as the neutral location to host our new game night event.

“Games with Strangers”, is the name of the event and I’m looking forward to hosting a night filled with many different tabletop games. I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun and I’m definitely planning to post the before, during, and after photos on, “Be Happy”.

Brain01

I’m still in the moving process with, “The Leftovers” but, I managed to make a new post continuing, An Open Letter to “The Right”. The move has already proven to be very beneficial and I look forward to making big leaps in progressing this project.

Twitter01

My Twitter feed is starting to take off. One of the goals I set for my social media accounts is to get match the number of organic impressions on Twitter with the population of the town I live in. This goal is still on track, even this early into February’s shorter time frame.

I know it sounds crazy and this would only serve as evidence I’m on the slow boat but, I think I’ve quickly discovered the potential for driving traffic to blog projects through tweets is far greater than I could’ve ever imagined.

I often scoffed at Twitter when it first started and claimed it would only serve as a celebrity-filled echo chamber with pictures of the overpriced plates of food they were about to eat. The best way to disrupt an echo-chamber? Scream back into it when necessary.

If you aren’t following me on Twitter, now is a good time to do so. I will be promoting one of my “hidden” projects exclusively on Twitter.

NoPride01

The project deals with a lot of deep personal feelings I’ve had for a long time. I’ve been working on it for a while but, I never knew how to go about promoting it. I don’t want all of my family and friends to run right to it, so Facebook promotion was not an option. It will probably never be a successful project by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a side of my life most people don’t even care to talk to me about, the main group I would expect to read it are a small niche and even some who have pre-tested it with responded, “What is this other than a diary of how miserable you are?”, *lol*. I’ll probably never forget those words, so inspiring…

Regardless, I can’t ignore how much the project means to me. So the compromise I came up with was, to not let everyone know about it and promote it in a way only a select group of people will know of its existence.

If you’re still interested and want to know what it is, follow me on Twitter, I’ll be promoting it for the first time ever on Friday, February 9th, 2018.

CreativeUnity01

Beyond accomplishing all of these things in January, I was also accepted as a guest blogger for, “Creative Unity“.

“Creative Unity”, is a blogger collective giving writers from all over the world a platform to show their work.

I’m very excited to see what this new relationship brings for myself and “Creative Unity” as well.

Keeping myself busy this past month has already paid off and I’m looking forward to building onto this strong start and keep it going for as long as I can.

I hope everyone had a great start to their New Year as well. Thank you all so much for your support.
